Description: Nortak Software is currently seeking Programmer/Developers with the following qualifications:

Software Development:

  • Demonstrated experience in leading a team of developers to define and implement standards and strategies based on priorities
  • Experience in assessing clients’ business problems/opportunities and to identify business and technology solutions best suited to client needs
  • Demonstrated experience designing, developing, testing and debugging .NET applications to be deployed to three-tier infrastructure with load-balancing on both the presentation and application tiers
  • Demonstrated Extensive experience designing, developing, testing and debugging code for enhancements to systems using VB.NET, C#, Web API, Crystal Reports, ASP.NET, Web API, AngularJS, Bootstrap, DevArt, JQuery, LINQ, Windows Communication Foundation, .Net Core 2.0, Entity Framework Core 2.0
  • Demonstrated Experience with .NET Remoting and multi-threaded windows services
  • Demonstrated strong knowledge and experience in software design using SOLID design, Simple Injector, Dependency Injection, Angular Material Design, and Restful API.
  • Demonstrated experience identifying, creating and contributing to reusable software components using Nuget or other package managers
  • Demonstrated experience designing and modelling relational databases for web-based applications , and extensive experience in PowerDesigner, PL/SQL Developer, TOAD, Oracle 12C
  • Demonstrated extensive experience with the SDLC processes including industry methodologies, processes and standards related to design, development and unit testing.
  • Demonstrated experience analyzing requirements in order to determine functional requirements for reports and other enhancements to the web-based systems

Other Technical Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience eliciting requirements, developing/consulting on options and solutions, facilitating the resolution I&IT and business issues and providing effective guidance
  • Demonstrated experience gathering and consolidating input into changes required to business and/or system requirements, change requests, project artefacts, as well as leading requirement gathering sessions.
  • Demonstrated experience with troubleshooting and remediation of performance issue in web-based applications and multi-threaded Windows services
  • Experience working in Agile team following Scrum methodology
  • Demonstrated experience managing automated build systems/CI systems
  • Demonstrated experience managing a source control system, including responsibility for branching and merging
  • Demonstrated Experience setting up and administering Continuous Integration with build systems such as BuildMaster, CruiseControl.NET, NAnt or similar tools
  • Demonstrated experience with the configuration and administration of operating systems including Microsoft Windows and Linux or other varieties of UNIX
  • Demonstrated experience with the configuration and administration of TCP/IP networks
  • Demonstrated experience developing web applications which adhere to WCAG AA 2.0 for accessibility and which must run on multiple web browsers and on different versions
  • Proficiency with desktop and web-based tools (Visio, MS Office, MS Project, MS SharePoint)

General Skills:

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills; verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated analytical problem solving and decision making capabilities

OPS Experience:

  • Experience working within the OPS, particularly with education ministries would be an asset
